A PSD is a dog that acts as an Emotional Support Animal, but in addition to providing purely mental support to the assigned human, also has specific training that makes it specially capable of supporting his/her human to the best of its ability..This training is about basic educational elements with special attention to trained skills for the person concerned.
Currently, it has been decreed by the US Department of Transport that US Airlines are required to carry PSD’s, while the previous status of ESA (Emotional Support Animals) has been equated to that of a normal pet. As a result, no U.S. airline is now required to give ESA’s special status when carrying them in the cabin.
ESAeurope HAS THEREFORE DECIDED TO DEVELOP AND ADOPT AN INTEGRATIVE CONCEPT FOR PSD TRAINING.
